After winning a slam in NYC’s sacred Nuyorican Poetry Cafe, Kyp started his own poetry night in Vancouver and began to generate a buzz around his lyricism. Shortly thereafter the music industry came calling. Since then he has earned a total of 4 Juno nominations, won the Peak Performance Project among other awards. Kyprios is a lyrical mastermind, and created this year’s opening spoken word performance.
